Favorites: TV Shows!

I've made a post about this before, but I've found some new shows that I thought I should add to the list. Here are my favorite TV shows that I currently watch:

  • Here Comes Honey BooBoo
  • Cheer Perfection
  • The Amazing Race (TEAM YOUTUBE!!!)
  • Castle
  • Bones
  • Revenge
  • The Bachelor
  • Once Upon A Time
  • Revenge
  • The Big Bang Theory
  • Glee
  • Switched at Birth
  • Kourtney and Kim Take Miami
  • Toddlers and Tiaras
Some shows that I watch but that aren't in season right now:
  • Covert Affairs (Actually, I'm just like an entire season behind and don't have time to catch up right now!)
  • 19 Kids and Counting
  • Royal Pains
  • Big Brother
  • The Glass House
  • America's Next Top Model
  • Fear Factor
  • Ghost Hunters (Again, I'm just really behind on this)

It's finally Spring Break here for me, so hopefully I'll be able to catch up on some TV here soon!

SCHICK HYDRO SILK® RAZOR Review

This is an item that I got for free a while ago from BuzzAgent, and I decided to do a review about it. Here are my thoughts: I LOVE this razor.

I know what you are thinking: It's just a razor, simmer down, Katie. But NO. This is the best Razor I have ever used. It gives you a close shave, but it's NEVER made me bleed. The razor has a moisture strip that doesn't run out of moisture the first time you use it!

One razor cartridge also lasts for a long time. I have never been so happy with a razor. Literally. Plus, the BuzzAgent Kit came with some coupons that are pretty high value, so I don't feel bad buying more of these cartridges. If you see this razor at Target, Walmart, or anywhere else that you buy razors, pick it up. You won't be disappointed!

Graze Box #2

This is my second Graze box. Still loving them so much!

Like I said on my first Graze Box review, this is a subscription box company that sends you 4 foods to try and rate. On the website, you can tell Graze what you'd like to try or what you'd like to trash. You can also rate the items that you get as LIKE and LOVE and they will send them to you again in the future! So here's what I got in my first box:
I got myself another Summer Berry Flapjack. It was just as filling and enjoyable as last time :) The are described as "rustic rolled oat flapjack with berry-infused cranberries." Tasty!

This is the Toffee Apple. It comes with stick toffee sauce and dried apple slices. I'm excited to try these!

This is the Olive and Rosemary Bruscetta. This was what I was most excited to try in the box, but to be honest, I HATED it. It just wasn't something that I was interested in. Trash
Lastly, I got the Pina Colada mix. It has dried mango, pineapple, and coconut. I haven't tried this one either, but I love me some mango, so I'm excited to have it in dried form!

The normal box is $5 PER WEEK, so you'll get a box of these a week, and if you get the free box, then your 5th box is also free too. Pretty cool!

To get a FREE box and to view the website, use a referral link:  RYZY3R9D, GPNFMXYD. This is the ONLY way to access the website at this time.

College Kid: Downy Unstoppables Review

These are the Downy Unstoppables In Wash Scent Booster. I know this is a weird thing to review, but they are magical when you are doing laundry, and I just HAD to tell someone about them!

My laundry situation: I take my laundry down three floors to the shared laundry machines in our building. EVERYONE does their laundry there. Whenever my laundry comes out of the wash, it just smells like the laundry rooms, which don't smell bad but they just smell...like a college kid's room. So, I had a sample of the Downy Unstoppables that I used last week, and it changed my life! My clothes have such a clean smell to them every time they come out of the laundry, and I feel like they hold that smell for much longer than they usually do. Literally, I used the sample and then immediately put it on my Target list. Personally, this turquoise container one is my favorite smell. It just smells like clean clothes instead of artificial flowers or something like that.

Random review, but it's mainly for people who use community washers and dryers. Enjoy!

Spring Cleaning: BBW Project Pan

I've finally done it: I'm on a Bath and Body Works Project: Pan. If you don't know what a "Project Pan" is, it's essentially a specific period of time where you aren't allowed to buy something (usually make-up which is why it's called Project PAN, because you can't buy anything until you've hit pan on a certain number of items.)
Usually, you decide that you aren't going to buy any more until you hit the end of a certain number of products, but I'm not going to do it that way :P

Instead these are the rules: I am not allowed to BUY any more Bath and Body Works items until:
1) college: until I am out of both shower gel AND soap. Completely. I have 4 more bottles of each, so it might be a while...
2) home: until I have decreased by collection by 1/2. I know how much is underneath my sink, and it's going to take me a while, but that's the point.

The problem that I have with BBW is that they just have SO many sales, and I end up buying a bunch because it's on sale and then I can't use it up fast enough. Then another sale comes, I buy more, and the stash grows. I'm just kind of tired of hoarding it, and it takes up a great deal of space in my bathroom at home where I don't have much room.

My one exception to this rule: I am allowed to buy hand sanitizer at school, but only ONE, and I am allowed to go redeem free product offers if they are no purchase necessary. But I either need to use up or sell (which is definitely an option) my BBW stash before I can continue to buy it in such large quanitities.

Say goodbye to those hauls for a while. But I'll probably re-evaluate the pan in the summer when the semi-annual spring/summer sale comes, since that time period is my favorite scents' sales.

USA Graze Box #1!

This is my first Graze Box! This box just came to the US, and they were offering FREE boxes in order to let people try them out! Want a free box? Use one of my referral links listed at the end of this post! It's the only way to get into this website.

On the website, you can tell Graze what you'd like to try or what you'd like to trash. You can also rate the items that you get as LIKE and LOVE and they will send them to you again in the future! So here's what I got in my first box:

This is what it looked like on the inside! SO excite to eat all it these things!

This first thing is the Boston Baguettes. It came with some BBQ relish sauce. I haven't tried this yet, but I am really excited to dig into it! Even if I don't like the sauce, I'm sure the baguettes will be delish!

This next food item was the Apricot Torte. Not going to lie, these things are ALREADY IN MY TUMMY. They were SOOOO good, and I will definitely get these again! LOVE
This next item I was sent in the box was called Cookies and Cream. This is one of the desert options, but I haven't gotten a chance to try it. It looks really tasty though!
The last item that I got in the box were these Summer Berry Flapjacks. These were really fresh and delicious, but by the time I got to the third piece, I was full! No joke! But I'd get them again. Like

March Julep Maven Box!

This is what is in Julep's March box! This month, they also retired the "America Beauty" profile and instead replaced it with the "Modern Beauty" profile! I have to say, Julep has really listened to their fans, and I think that's a really great thing for a company to do!

Above are the colors that are coming in the box this month. They are really pretty pastels! That being said, I did skip this month's box, not because I didn't like the colors (on the contrary!) but I just feel like I have too many polishes, too many product, etc. and with Spring coming up, I'm just trying to declutter my life, as you will see in some upcoming posts.

Did you get the box? Let me know which profile YOU wen't with! If you aren't already a Julep Maven, you should check it out HERE! Your fist box is FREE with the code FREE BOX!

Happy Valentines Day!

I just thought I would hop on here and say Happy Valentines Day as well as share this picture that I took while I was shopping at Target. Someone was bitter when they proposed this idea for a Valentines Day candy...Lol. Whether single (like me) or in a relationship, I hope everyone here has a great day!

NOTD: Julep Maven's Julianne

This is Julianne from Julep Maven's February Box. HOW FREAKING PRETTY?! I am IN LOVE with this color, you have no idea. I just think it's the perfect shade of muted blue. I can't get enough of it. Ingrid from that box is going to be the next color that goes on my nails, because that's actually the color that convinced me to get the box. Stay tuned for that post!

Box Opening: BuzzAgent Schick Razor

Mail! Mail! I love mail :) This is from BuzzAgent, and they sent this to me for FREE to try out. Awesome! In the BuzzKit, they included about 10 $5 off coupons for all of my friends as well as a brand new Razor and matching changeable heads! I cannot WAIT to try this, but sadly I'll have to wait a couple more days because I just replaced my razors. It's a disposable one, though, so it won't be long before I come on here and post my review on this razor.

NOTD: "Jade" Kiss Nail Stickers

This is what is on my nails right now. Super cute, right? Well, they are the Kiss brand nail stickers. The design is called "Jade." I wasn't super impressed when I first put these on. Actually, I had a better experience putting them on than the Sally Hansen nail stickers, but I think that's because this was my second try with nail stickers. But the stickers didn't stick super good, and some of them were coming up pretty easily. I did put a clear top coat over then, though to keep them in place. Having said that, these stickers are STILL on my nails, and I think they've been on for almost a week. Yes, they chipped pretty quickly, but they haven't chipped any farther, for the most part. Today is the first day that I'm starting to miss bigger chunks of one or two of the nails, but I've gone to work 3 days this week where I am building stuff with my hands, so I'd say that's not bad.

The other complaint that I had was that there weren't many sizes to pick from, so a lot of my nails had gaps on the sides. So, I made sure the gaps were on the side of my nails that is harder for ME to see, so I barely notice them.

Overall, I think these nail stickers were a fun thing to have. I don't know if the top coat (which is NEW) is what kept these on for so long. I do like that these are cheaper, and I think they are a great alternative to the Sally Hansen nail strips (but only if it has the top coat on it). I'm definitely going to be trying more of these, and now that I've had a more positive experience with nail stickers, I'm definitely going to be trying more brands and posting about them here.

February 2013 Julep Box Opening!

Yay! I love when I have hard days only to go to my mailbox and get showered with nail polish :)
This is what came in my February Julep Maven Box. I changed from It-girl to Boho-Glam. I've never chosen anything other than these two options, oddly. I was really tempted to try the holographics this month, though. But I just couldn't get these colors out of my head. They were just something that I didn't have.

The first thing that they included was: a lash crimper and two chocolate hearts. Mama likes chocolate :) They were a nice, unexpected bonus :)
They also had in there the Freedom Top Coat, which is supposed to make your nail polish act like gel nails, lasting twice as long as normal polish. This was another HUGE reason that I didn't skip this month. I was just so curious about the top coat :P The other box next to it is the Oxygen Nail Treatment. I don't know much about this, but I am excited to try it and see what I think.

These were the actual polished that I got in the box. The orange color is called Ingrid, and the light grey-blue is called Julianne. The colors were not wanting to show up true to color for me at all, so I will paint my nails in the future with them and show them in the daylight soon :)

Let me know what you got! And if you aren't already a maven, you NEED to get your first box. It's awesome and only a penny! Click here to be directed to their site!

Bath and Body Works Semi-Annual Sale

This post is two combines hauls of what I bought at the Semi-Annual Sale for Bath and Body works. I went to two different locations.

Haul One:

Haul #2:

I'm not going to list out everything I got because I think the pictures are big enough to see everything (and because most everything in this haul is back at home). I will say that so far my favorites are: I <3 Watermelon Cherry (separate post on that here and here), the Orange Sapphine Shower Gel which smells AMAZING and is in my shower now. I also love the little cupcake scent portable. If you haven't seen their new line of Spring scent portable holder, you NEED to go check them out. They are literally the cutest things! I personally love the little elephant and the pink flamingo.

If you have any questions about what something is or if I can do a review on an item, just post in the comments below!

Here are a couple of my past Bath and Body Works Hauls too, if that's your kind of thing: Online Order and  the last semi-annual Sale

Impress Nails Review

I'm going to make this short and sweet: I did NOT like these nails. I don't know if it was just the fact that they were too long on my nails or if I didn't put them on right, but they were not fun. They were difficult to work with and then they were difficult to wear. I was not a fan, and I am glad that I didn't spend a bunch of money on them. Have you every tried these?

Do You Like My Hat?

This is a hat that I got at Target when I was home for Christmas Break. It's fuzzy, has ears, and reminds me of a wolf. Do you like it? Is it something you'd wear? Did you buy one too or do you have something similar? Leave a comment below, because I'd love to know about your cute hats! I'm really into hats right now!

February Julep Maven Box Options

Did you order your Julep Maven February Box this month? I skipped January's Nudes and Neons, and I skipped this one as well, but this time the colors just wouldn't get out of my mind. So I changed my mind and ordered a box. I'll make sure to show it to you all when it comes in! I'm so excited!

Halloween Costume!

This is what I was for Halloween. Actually, that's not completely true. I ordered the Hunger Games training shirt in my size online, but it didn't end up coming in until Halloween day. THIS is what I wore to our school's  TV taping, where I am a host. All the hosts dressed up for Halloween, and my co-host was Hermione Granger. It was kind of perfect. When I got the training shirt in, I ended up wearing that with the leggings and the boots (and the pin of course, which was actually handmade for me by a close crafty friend) instead of the leather jacket and the tank top.

This look is the Katniss Everdeen: Hunter in District 12 look. Hope you like it.  And yes, that was a real bow and arrow. Thanks E-bay.

October Target Haul

I'm almost done with my old backed up blog posts! (that sounded kind of wrong. Oh well...)

This is a Target Haul from November. I'm not going to go through everything I got, but I did want to show it to you because there are a couple of things in here that are staples in my closet now and a couple of items that will show up in future blog posts.

First notice the leggings that I got from Target. I think at the time I bought three pairs, but I ended up returning one of them because I didn't like the fake jeans look. I did keep the all black one as well as the black one that has fleece on the inside. The fleece one is my favorite! It has kept me so warm this winter, and I literally want to go back to Target and get two more pairs!

I'd also like to point out the little baskets that the leggings are perched in. There is one in pink and one (harder to see) in purple. These have been a crucial part of my dorm organization, and they came from the $1 section! I wish I had bought more, because I really loved them. The little pink containers by the toothbrushes in the front are also being used to organize my things, and they were from the same section.

The last thing is the hunger games costume. This ended up getting returned because it was too big, but Target didn't seem to carry anything smaller. It was really annoying.

As for the rest of it, it's kind of self-explanatory.

NOTD: Julep Maven's Hailee

This is another REALLY old post. This was actually a NOTD from November, right after I got the November Julep Box. But this shows you a close up of the texture and color that Hailee gives off. I really liked the suede finish more than I thought I would! It's subtle, but it's still got a shine to it in the light.

**Sorry the picture was at night. I had work the next day and I work in our theater's set construction shop, so my nails would have been destroyed by the next day.

Naughty Bath Fizzy Review

Here is the promised Review of Fortune Cookie Soap's Naughty Bath Fizzy. First off,  let me say that I loved how this smells. I honestly don't know what it smells like, but it's GOOD. That was a definite plus.

What you do with this is drop it into your bath water and it fizzes up, changing the color of your water and fizzing the whole time it dissolves. It also released the same smell that it had before.

The downside: This made a black ring ALL over my tub. I had to get out and clean it so that it didn't look like it hadn't been cleaned in forever. Now, it did come off pretty quickly, but the black color did mean I had to immediately clean it, which I feel like kind of defeats the purpose of using this fizzy to relax.

Overall, I would give this bath fizzy 3/5 stars. It smells great, it's an adorable concept, but for me it just wasn't worth having to clean my tub right after. If the smell had been to die for, then maybe it would have been worth cleaning up after.

**Don't get me wrong, I still love the company.

NOTD: Julep Maven's IVY and VIVIEN

I've just been painting my nails like a fiend! Here is my current NOTD:
The blue sparkly color is called Ivy and the gold glitter tip on my ring finger is called Vivien. Both polishes were in the It Girl box in December from Julep Maven. So pretty! I loved both of these polishes. The best part? This manicure stayed on my nails for about a week without chipping too much, which is amazing, especially with how hard I am on my nails! Two thumbs up!

December Soap Box

This is the December Soap Box done by Fortune Cookie Soaps. This is another post that has gone up late because of the Christmas season, so I apologize in advance.

So let's get in to what was in this box:

This is the Pinch of Grinch Whipped Cream. This smell VERY citrus-y. It's really overpowering almost, but I still like it. A little goes a long way with this, and it has lasted me a nice amount of time, for a sample.

Next is what came in this cute little drawstring pouch.

It came with (from top L to Bottom R): Whobilator OCD Hand Sanitizer (which smells pretty good), "Dear Santa, I Can Explain..." Personal Space Room Spray (LOVE!!!), Cheer Monger Body Wash (NO. This smells like chocolate and that's not something I want to smell like. I just couldn't handle how powerful the smell was, but if that's something you like, then go for it.), and the Cindy Lou Who Roll on Perfume.

Also included in the box was a Holiday Cheermeister Fortune Cookie Soap (Why it has a carrot on top, I don't know, but it does smell tasty!)

This is the Goody Goody Gum Drop Hydrate Me. These smell AMAZING and I want to eat them. The only problem that I had was that the color of these rubs off onto your skin and then gets on my white towels, but I guess that's less of a problem if your towel isn't white. Still smell AMAZING, though.

Lastly is this Naughty Bath Fizzy. Review of this to come.

I wasn't hugely impressed with this box, but to be fair, I'm not really a winter scent kind of girl. I like fruity and floral scents, but I'm not a sugary scent person. I will say, though that I am quite impressed with this company on a whole. The roller ball perfume that I had been sent was broken and I contacted customer service and they quickly sent me a new one, which I really appreciated. There was no hassle and the people were very nice. A+ for them!

I'm looking forward to the future boxes because I LOVE spring scents! Can't wait!

November Julep Maven Box

This is one of the older posts that I promised. I can't believe I never got this posted until now! This is what came in my Julep Maven November 2012 box.

The purple/silver one below is Nora, the olive green color is Hailee, and the fuzzy clear one is the Matte Top Coat. Nora is no longer in my possession, though. The color matched one of my friend's formal dresses, and so it was one of her Christmas presents, so you will never see a blog post of it unless I can get a picture of the polish on her nails. Sorry!

All of these polishes had a matte suede finish to them. This was something I never experienced in a nail polish. Usually, I like my polishes to be super shiny, but I actually really liked the finish to these polishes. I have not yet tried the matte top coat yet, though. I'm kind of scared of that one's finish!

The other thing that was in the box were three nail polish remover pads. I haven't tried those yet, either. I've been busy, I'm sorry! And I've kind of been saving those for when I travel.
