Beauty Blogger Influenster Unboxing and Mini Reviews

I've had this box for a while now, and yes, I'm just now getting around to doing an unboxing! This is the Beauty Blogers 2012 Voxbox and it looks like this:

This was the car that cam with it. If you are interested in the specifics, you can just click and zoom :)

Here's what came in the box. I haven't tried everything out yet, but I will include a mini-review of the things I have gotten to try out!

This first item is the E-Boost Energy booster. I didn't know how I'd feel about this when I first got it, because I'm not a huge fan of energy drinks and such, but it does look like it is going to be healthy and not harmful, so I am definitely going to give it a shot. I have not tried this product out, though, because I am waiting for a night where I am pulling an all-nighter. I wonder if these things have expiration dates...?

This next item is the NYC color palette. I got the limited edition shadow palette, but some other members received a different color palette for brown eyes. I kind of wish that I had received that one, because I don't use these colors often, but now that I am thinking about it, I don't have these colors in my collection, so they should make for some new combos with the browns that I already have.
The palette had really nice pigmentation for the price, but there was some fall-out. I think you can tell in the picture that there was already some sparkles floating around in the package, and it started mixing with the highlighter and base. Oh well. It's still cool, and it was free :)

These next two items, well one was an item and one was a coupon, but they are from Bath and Body Works. I have to say, when I got the box and saw BBW products, I about died because I was so excited. I am OBSESSED with the smell of this candle. I immediately wanted to burn it, but alas, I can't because my stupid dorm room won't allow me too...It's packed up though and ready to come home with me during Thanksgiving. I'm super excited!

This is the Kiss Ever Pro Lashes kit. I have never used lashes before, but I was pleasantly surprised with how easy these were to apply. I haven't worn them anywhere yet, but I did play with them, and I really enjoyed them. They look really natural, so I shouldn't have any trouble making them work for everyday or for a date night ;)

Next, we have the Goody Simple Styles Spin Pins. These are supposed to make wearing a bun super simple. I was really excited to try these because I'd seen them before but just never picked the up. I was kind of disappointed, though. My hair (as pictured above) is not super thick, and so my buns are always really small. You can see in the picture that the pins stuck out of my hair because they were too big. I think it's going to be okay, though. I am growing my hair out longer, and I think when it gets back to it's usual long length, I will be able to use the pins again without them sticking out.

This was the last item in the box. It's the Not Your Mother's Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream. I was SO excited to get this! I know some people got the curly hair one, but that would not have helped me much because my hair is naturally wavy, but not super curly. This worked pretty well I think for the one time that I've tested it out. I tend to use this product when I know it's going to be humid outside to at least try to combat my frizzy hair. Humidity usually makes the situation a LOT worse, but this worked well in taming my hair.

That's all that was in the box :) I'm glad I could finally share it with you all! I did get these items for free from Influenster, but these reviews are completely honest, as I'm sure you can tell. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll see you all with the next blog post!

Target Haul

I wanted to show you all another Target haul, but I wanted to talk about the reasoning behind these hauls as well. I did the college series, and I think it went pretty well, but I wasn't at college the entire time the series was going on, so I couldn't show you a lot of what was going on or what I was buying. I think these Target hauls are a good chance to show you guys what I've bought, and kind of "what do college kids eat and buy for their dorms." Hope that makes sense, and I hope you guys enjoy reading about these hauls as much as I like shopping at Target!

Now, on to the haul! Here is everything that I bought. Understand that the only things that were on my list were the detergent and the gum.

I bought some new headbands for my hair. They were like $2 off in the clearance area. I don't why, but I bought them anyways! They are my favorite hair bands, and I lost all of my other ones.

I needed some gum. So I tried this one.

I blogged about these a while ago. You can find that post here. This is the first time I've ever seen these at my Target store, so I picked them up. They will make some great morning snacks on my way to class.

I was craving some cashews. So I bought them. Whoops. And they are already opened. I couldn't even wait until the picture was taken to chow down. I was starving...

I was craving these too. I got them in pretzel, regular cheddar, and Parmesan. I've already opened the pretzel ones, and I'm eyeing the Parmesan.

This was actually on my list. Well, what was on my list was the mini surf detergent boxes. They didn't have that. So I got this. Which is made for high efficiency washers, so now I need to return it and get the right ones. Darn it!

This is from the Bzzcampaign that I'm a part of. I got it for free to try it out. The first one that I got was the cotton mandarin one, but I returned it because the top wouldn't spray AND because my roommate doesn't like orange scents. So yea.

That's all! let me know what you got last time you went to Target!

New Straightener!!!

I know I've been talking about hair a lot recently, but I'm just so into my hair. It's so long, so I can play with it a lot, and make it into so many different hairstyles. Hair has always been something that I've enjoyed switching up and perfecting.

My newest hair obsession:

A CHI Air. Oh yess. It's my new baby :) It heats up so quickly and does a great job when it's early in the morning and I'm in a hurry to get somewhere. It actually straightens my baby hairs instead of just "attempting" to straighten them.

This is my first CHI, which is kind of sad, I know. I just never could fathom spending $100 dollars on a straightener. I didn't trust the product. My best friend from college has a CHI and she used to straighten and curl my hair with hers before we went out for the night, and it did SUCH AN AMAZING JOB!!! I was blown away. And, to top it all off, my Revlon straightener was not doing that great of a job recently. Don't get me wrong, it still works, but now I understand why people pay such much for a CHI. It just seemed like every time I straightened my hair with the Revlon straightener, it would become frizzy so easily whenever I stepped outside, but now, my hair stays straight without any problem. My hair is also a butt-head to straighten, so it's nice that the CHI has no problem getting it straight the first time. It saves me a lot of time.

I still have my Revlon straightener, and have had it for about 4 years. I'm still going to keep it, even though I have my new CHI. The Revlon straightener will stay at home and be a backup just in case something happens with the CHI, but I doubt it will :P I'm still very happy with my Revlon straightener though. It's my ol' trusty. It's lasted 4 years and is still going strong (as strong as a $20 straightener can!).

I'm in love with this CHI, though. So much. If you don't already have one, check them out! I know the price tag can be ridiculous, but ULTA has them on sale sometimes. At least check it out. You might never go back to your cheaper straighteners ever again...

I want to change my hair...

I've been wanting to change my hair up recently. It's super long, and I'm just bored with it. I'm a natural light brunette, but the sun naturally bleaches my hair a golden blonde.

Around a week ago, I posted that my friends and I dip-dyed each other's hair, and I think I'm going to keep doing that for the short-term, but I'm very much considering either a major haircut, or dying my hair.

I'm really looking for y'alls opinions. I'm for sure getting a hair cut because I haven't gotten it cut probably since last summer, so the ends of my hair are damaged and dead from heat tools. My hair currently is almost down to my belly button, which is pretty long for me (this length is in my natural hair. When I straighten it, it's even longer because my hair is naturally wavy).

If I don't do a drastic cut, I want to dye my hair. I would really like to go super dark (like a dark brown, or if not that dark, like a dark auburn), but my parents think that I'd look better as a blonde. If I went blonde, I'd go for a strawberry blonde, not like a bleach blonde.

Please leave a comment below if you think I should either dye my hair (and what color?) or get a major cut. :)
