NOTD: Julep Maven's IVY and VIVIEN

I've just been painting my nails like a fiend! Here is my current NOTD:
The blue sparkly color is called Ivy and the gold glitter tip on my ring finger is called Vivien. Both polishes were in the It Girl box in December from Julep Maven. So pretty! I loved both of these polishes. The best part? This manicure stayed on my nails for about a week without chipping too much, which is amazing, especially with how hard I am on my nails! Two thumbs up!

December Soap Box

This is the December Soap Box done by Fortune Cookie Soaps. This is another post that has gone up late because of the Christmas season, so I apologize in advance.

So let's get in to what was in this box:

This is the Pinch of Grinch Whipped Cream. This smell VERY citrus-y. It's really overpowering almost, but I still like it. A little goes a long way with this, and it has lasted me a nice amount of time, for a sample.

Next is what came in this cute little drawstring pouch.

It came with (from top L to Bottom R): Whobilator OCD Hand Sanitizer (which smells pretty good), "Dear Santa, I Can Explain..." Personal Space Room Spray (LOVE!!!), Cheer Monger Body Wash (NO. This smells like chocolate and that's not something I want to smell like. I just couldn't handle how powerful the smell was, but if that's something you like, then go for it.), and the Cindy Lou Who Roll on Perfume.

Also included in the box was a Holiday Cheermeister Fortune Cookie Soap (Why it has a carrot on top, I don't know, but it does smell tasty!)

This is the Goody Goody Gum Drop Hydrate Me. These smell AMAZING and I want to eat them. The only problem that I had was that the color of these rubs off onto your skin and then gets on my white towels, but I guess that's less of a problem if your towel isn't white. Still smell AMAZING, though.

Lastly is this Naughty Bath Fizzy. Review of this to come.

I wasn't hugely impressed with this box, but to be fair, I'm not really a winter scent kind of girl. I like fruity and floral scents, but I'm not a sugary scent person. I will say, though that I am quite impressed with this company on a whole. The roller ball perfume that I had been sent was broken and I contacted customer service and they quickly sent me a new one, which I really appreciated. There was no hassle and the people were very nice. A+ for them!

I'm looking forward to the future boxes because I LOVE spring scents! Can't wait!

November Julep Maven Box

This is one of the older posts that I promised. I can't believe I never got this posted until now! This is what came in my Julep Maven November 2012 box.

The purple/silver one below is Nora, the olive green color is Hailee, and the fuzzy clear one is the Matte Top Coat. Nora is no longer in my possession, though. The color matched one of my friend's formal dresses, and so it was one of her Christmas presents, so you will never see a blog post of it unless I can get a picture of the polish on her nails. Sorry!

All of these polishes had a matte suede finish to them. This was something I never experienced in a nail polish. Usually, I like my polishes to be super shiny, but I actually really liked the finish to these polishes. I have not yet tried the matte top coat yet, though. I'm kind of scared of that one's finish!

The other thing that was in the box were three nail polish remover pads. I haven't tried those yet, either. I've been busy, I'm sorry! And I've kind of been saving those for when I travel.

Blogging Update

So, over Christmas break, I came to the realization that I had a LOT of stored up pictures that I never posted on this blog. Hauls, NOTDs, etc. that I took pictures of but I never got them posted because my school life got super busy. SO, because this is a new year, I figured I would write all of these old blog posts and get them up on this blog, giving you girls some new content as well as getting this blog back on track! I will try to keep up with this blog more this year! I know that I had some really good months in which I posted EVERY DAY (and sometimes more than every day!) and then there were some days that I slacked. I'll do better this year hopefully!

In short: Lots of new posts coming. Some of them from last year that I never got up, some of them from this year that are brand new. Talk to you all later!

NOTD: Harper by Julep Maven

This polish is called Mermaid Vomit. Just kidding. But that's what I call it! This is actually Harper from my December Julep Maven box. It came in the IT girl box, and to be honest, it was my sole reason for buying the box that month. It's just such a pretty color. Here are a couple more pictures to see if any of them can do the polish justice...

That's better. It's a little more sparkly here. This polish applies like a dream, and it wasn't super clumpy like a lot of glitter polishes can be. Love this color!

Black Friday Haul Part 3: Bath and Body Works

Black Friday wouldn't be complete without a Bath and Body Works Haul. Here we go...
My main reason for going was to get two of these night light wall flowers. My parents each asked for one of these so that they can put them around the house or in their bathrooms and not have to turn the lights on during the night. I got one in gold and one in clear so that they could each pick their favorite.

Next I got 4 soaps for my bathroom at college. I got Fresh Picked Apples, Sea Island Cotton, Kitchen Lemon with the Christmas packaging, and Cranberry Tangerine. I am literally on my last soap bottle at school, and I figured these would last me for a while!

I also got some wallflowers for my college dorm room. I got Fresh Linen 2 pack and Fresh Balsam which is my favorite Christmas scent. These are also both non-intruding enough scents that my picky roommate can't possibly have a problem with. I also got her the Fresh Balsam room spray as part of her Christmas gift. She loves Christmas, and that way she can have her room smell like Christmas all year long.

Last, I got the VIP bag. It came with everything pictured above. I love getting these around Christmas time. It makes for some easy gifts without having to go crazy smelling everything. They also usually put in their newest products, so the gifts that you are giving people from these bags are the newest things. Plus, if you have never tried something yourself, it's a great way to get one cheap without having put too much money into something you might hate.

Amazingly enough, that's all I got! Check back soon to see another part of my Black Friday hauls!
