Aveeno Active Naturals

This whole "test out a shampoo and conditioner each night" is so much fun! I have another shampoo and conditioner that I tried out that I wanted to share with you all: the new Aveeno Active Naturals Nourish and Strengthen Hair Care Collection Shampoo and Conditioner.

What they claim: This shampoo and conditioner helps to reduce breakage by 90% in just 3 washes.
They have around 4 different shampoo and conditioners in this line, and they are made for different hair types.

What I thought: They weren't amazing. Honestly, I didn't notice my hair any stronger than normal, but at the same time, I only got to try the shampoo and conditioner once, not for the 3 weeks that it claims it takes to make your hair stronger. I also didn't like the smell. It smelled like sunscreen, which is not what I want my hair to smell like. It didn't smell as bad in my hair as it did when I was putting it in my hair in the shower, though. It lost some of that sunscreen smell.

Would I buy it? Nope. Just simply because of the smell. I like my hair smelling really good, and not like sunscreen. Maybe if they changed the smell, I would try it again.

Miss Jessie's Shampoo and Conditioner

Here is another shampoo and conditioner testing. This time, the brand is Miss Jessie's Creme De La Creme conditioner and Super Slip Sudsy Shampoo.

I'm not going to lie, I was SUPER scared to try these. First of all, Miss Jessie's is a really well known brand for African American hair types, which I clearly don't have. Second, these shampoos and conditioners are marketed for curly hair, which I don't have. I have wavy hair, but I don't have spiral curly hair. I tried to pick a couple of samples that would be better suited for less curly hair, so here goes:

These products make some BIG claims: The shampoo claims that it is "the best darn detangling shampoo period" and the conditioner claims that it is "the best darn conditioner period." That's some high standards that it has set for itself!

What I thought: The combo of shampoo and conditioner brought out some really wavy hair when I woke up in the morning. It looked cute, but the wave weren't really detangled or anything. I think it would have made more of a difference if my hair was naturally spiral curls or something that gets tangled easily. I don't think it's the best of its kind, though.

Would I buy these? Probably not. They aren't in any stores that I've ever seen, and since they weren't miraculous, I don't see the point of ordering them online. They didn't smell amazing either. They just smelled okay.

If you've ever used these, please let me know. I would love to know how they work in people's hair that has a different texture than mine!

Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Review

Garnier's got a new formula again: it's the Sleek and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner. It's for dry, frizzy, and hard-to-manage hair. I requested a sample of this, and I thought I would do another review to see if this lived up to what the company is claiming this shampoo and conditioner do.

What they claim: Ultra soothing Argan Oil from Morocco makes hair stay sleep for 3 days straight with the Sleek and Shine System. For frizzy, dry, and unmanageable hair.

What I thought of it: I wasn't a huge fan. It wasn't like last time where I really noticed a different. To be honest, I think that the other Garnier shampoo and conditioner that I tried made my hair more sleek and shiny than this one, even though that's what it's supposed to do. I dunno. The scent did stay for a long time though, but the shampoo smelled funky again.

Would I buy it? Nope. Not really. I'd rather buy the Triple Nutrition one, because that seems to be tailored to my hair more than this one was.

I'm not going to BS with you guys if I don't like something. Here's proof. I'm just glad I didn't have to purchase this in full size to find out I didn't like it.

Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Garnier Fructis has a new shampoo and conditioner. It's called Triple Nutrition. It's meant for people with dry, damaged hair, which is definitely me. I've always got split ends. Boo. I decided to try this out and see if it lives up to what it claims.

What it claims: Made of weightless avocado, olive, and shea oils, Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Shampoo and Conditioner is for magnified shine and hair so healthy, it bounces back to life.

How I thought it worked: I wasn't a huge fan of the scent on the shampoo, but the conditioner smelled fruitier and nice :) The smell stayed for quite a while (until I drown down the freeway with my windows open!). My hair felt really soft and nice today, and while the shampoo kind of made my hair tangled in the shower, it was easy to work with throughout the day. This was a good shampoo and conditioner to try!

Would I buy this? Actually, Yes. Honestly, every Garnier product that I've bought in the past has been a dud. This one was definitely an exception to that. It smelled great, and my hair felt great after I used this. I would definitely think about buying this again when I run out of my current shampoo and conditioner.
